Cupiditas Symphony Orchestra Principal Clarinet
Cupiditas was born in 2015 within the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (Florence), as an independent initiative, by a group of friends/colleagues and their desire to play together. The desire to create something new and to be able to try their hand at challenging repertoires without the support of anyone apart from themselves were the spark that lit the fire of this splendid initiative led by Maestro Pietro Mazzetti. Getting involved is the watchword; the project starts with small concerts in the Florentine area and in just a few years, became very appreciated as a regular feature in theaters and concert halls. First of all the Sala Verdi of the Milan Conservatory where the orchestra was joined by renowned soloists such as Christoph Hartmann, Roberto Cappello, Freddy Kempf and Silvia Chiesa.
The other very important collaboration for the orchestra is with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino which last from 2018 until today. The musicians, in collaboration with the actors of the Venti Lucenti company and the artists of the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, perform in popular shows for children within the metropolitan circuit and the Theater itself, with the intent to bring young Florentine minds closer to the magical world of music, which now more than ever needs new energy.
